The (C) icon, which specifies Categories does not seem to work at all. I've noticed this on my 2.6.4 version as well.

There are many advantages and disadvantages to teamwork within an organisation, but the disadvantages can quite quickly overwhelm the advantages if they are not managed appropriately.

Organising the work to be done by employees in teams allows many benefits to be exploited by the organisation. Working in a team allows the team to draw on the skills of all members of the team. This could be sharing knowledge, for example a more experienced member may have been trained in the best practice for an accounting firm, and the more junior members of the team can use the experienced memberâs knowledge in these best practices. Not only will the task be completed to the highest level, but the junior members will learn, and gain the knowledge from the experienced members. This is a way of passing an organisationâs specialist skills and knowledge on to the next generation of workers. Employees are able to build on each otherâs strengths and weaknesses when working in a team. The old adage âa team is only as strong as its weakest linkâ may not always be true, but when it is, a team whose members compliment the others will be a stronger team overall. For example, a team working on a proposal for a large client may be drawn together (for the duration of that project) with a complimentary set of skills. One member may be a finance expert, one may have a background in sales, and another member may be from the production department of the firm. In this case, the team draws upon the diverse and complimentary skills of the constituents of the team to have a stronger group overall. This can be carried beyond just vocational skills onto interpersonal relationships. Team members may be selected for a team based on either psychometric evaluations, or just the managerâs experiences with the members so that together the group members harmonise, and are more productive than had their relationships not been âengineeredâ in this way. One particular example is small teams of say 4 members may be organised such that approximately half the members are male and the others are female. Depending on the task, of course, the makeup of a team in this way can assist to bring in new ideas and new slants of the problems presented. Teams combine the âmentalâ and âmanualâ work into a group of interrelated tasks, meaning the manager is a member of the group herself. This allows the team to operate at a level of autonomy, as it can be self managing, or if not (because of the task), then at least self monitoring. A team selected of high calibre members who are known to work cohesively together can be given a task, and effectively be âleft to it.â Teamwork often allows the team to become a separate âunitâ in this way because the tight social integration between (well selected) members allows a high level of cohesion between those parties. This cohesion is aided by effective communication, and the cohesion can last after the team has adjourned (if a temporary team, or task force). The informal group dynamic present in a team often will carry on after a team has adjourned, or, or an ongoing team, will reinforce the formal relationships formed, and assist the teamâs productivity. In teamwork, often all members will have equal status, perhaps not in making decisions of immense importance, but in terms of being listened to and having questions answered. A team which is working well will ensure that no members feel uncomfortable to ask a âsillyâ question, and that everyone feels valued as a member. This equality of status can often mean the removal of âoffice politics,â which can lead to benefits in productivity, as less time is spent with administrative/bureaucratic interpersonal issues, and more time is spent actually accomplishing the task. There are many benefits that teamwork within an organisation can incur, where all those mentioned above will either lead directly to a âbottom-lineâ effect on the profit of the firm, or on the interpersonal relationships of the employees, affecting their intrinsic feelings of job satisfaction and self worth.

My dream is a wikitable tool where one can paste in a column of numbers or info, and have it show up as a column in a wikitable.

And then to paste in another column and have it show up as the second column in that wikitable. And so on.

Simple. Copy and paste. There are so many ways this would be useful on wiki pages. See this page that I have worked on a lot:

I can use a freeware quality text editor like NoteTab Light, and use it to pull columns out of existing tables on a web page. It is easy.

First copy the table into NoteTab. Then use the Block/Copy command from the Modify menu to copy any column of any width from any location in the table. For example; the column that is 5 spaces wide starting at character position 10 in the row. --Timeshifter 03:25, 25 December 2008 (CET)

So without thinking, I went nuts - and called the the company (Gulf Coast Western) and went nuts.

You will never believe this... Gulf Coast Western -the oil company- was calling who I interviewed with last month - we're calling to tell me I got the job!

Any advice how to get unfired??
